Recreation Complex

South Suburban is planning a new recreation complex, which is proposed to include a fieldhouse, ice arena, gymnasium with Pickleball courts and district administration offices. The project will replace the 50-year old South Suburban Ice Arena and the South Suburban Administration Office.

The new facility will be nearly 200,000 square-feet. It will be built just southwest of East County Line Road, and South Holly Street. The complex is expected to open in December 2020. The estimated project cost is $50 million.

South Suburban hosted public input meetings on the new facility in September. Comments on the proposed project may be sent to recreationcomplex@ssprd.org.
