Youth Lacrosse

Whether you’re looking to learn the game or are a seasoned player, South Suburban is the place to play the fastest sport on two feet. Hone your skills in our camps and clinics and compete in our leagues and tournaments. And enjoy playing the sport you love.

Summer Leagues

Season includes 6 games, reversible jerseys and officials. Players of all playing abilities are welcome. Must have own equipment.  South Suburban will be offering Recreational Divisions (New Players and Blue Level Teams) and Comp Divisions (White and Red Level Teams) for all age groups.  Players can sign up as a free agent player or as team.  

Divisions (Based on your Current Grade in 2016/2017 School Year)

Boys: K/1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th/9th/10th Grade
Girls:  K/1st, 2nd/3rd, 4th/5th, 6th/7th/8th, High School

July 23: - July 27:  Last week of season.  


Practice location, time, and day  will be determined by our Volunteer Coaches.  Teams will practice once a week for an hour.  Practices are usually held Monday through Friday 5 - 8 pm.  All practices will be held within the South Suburban District.

Camps and clinics

New Player Lacrosse Clinics  

Not sure if you child wants to play lacrosse?  Sign up for our New Player Lacrosse Clinics!  Players will be introduced to the sport and taught basic stick skills through drills and fun games. Players do NOT need to have any of their own equipment, as modified equipment will be provided.  Clinic meets once a week for for 2 weeks at David A. Summer Lacrosse Camps  

Summer lacrosse camps are for beginner to intermediate players. The camps will introduce new skills, teach basic rules, refine techniques, and offer some game play. Separate sessions are offered for boys and girls, ages 6-14. Players must have FULL equipment to participate. No age exceptions, no High School players.

Boys: lacrosse stick, shoulder pads, arm pads, mouthpieces, helmets, 4 pt. chin straps, safety stickers and gloves. Highly Recommended: athletic cup

Girls: lacrosse stick, mouthguard and goggles.

Spring Lacrosse


South Suburban Stampede Lacrosse provides a safe and fun environment for District youth to play the game of lacrosse. Through our program we introduce children to lacrosse in a fun environment where they learn about the sport, teamwork, good sportsmanship, respect for all participants and where they can create new friendships.  Boys teams play in Arapahoe Youth League (AYL). Girls teams play in the Colorado Girls Lacrosse Association (CGLA).

Uniforms can be ordered at the time of registration.  If you know your size, please go ahead and register at the time of registration.  If you are unsure of your player's size, please attend one of the fittings. Uniforms can be ordered at Jersey Fittings.  Players wanting to order a specific number will need to also fill out the Uniform Number Request


South Suburban teams will be having their pictures taken during the week of March 13. To make it more convenient for teams we will have the pictures travel and meet you prior to your scheduled practice time. To download the order form please follow the link: Team Photo Order Form


South Suburban boys teams play in the Arapahoe Youth League (AYL).Teams will travel for some games against other AYL teams. Each team will get a 2+ hours a week of practice. All home games and practices will be held at David A. Lorenz Regional Park. Season includes 7+ games. Games will be played on Saturdays (Make Up games will be played during the week or on Sundays).

  • May 12 - 13: Playoff weekend
  • May 19 - 20: Championship weekend     

Register for Spring Lacrosse starting November 13.  
Registration Closes on February 23 or once teams are full.


South Suburban girl teams play in the Colorado Girls Lacrosse Association (CGLA). Teams will travel for some games against other CGLA teams. Each team will get a 2+ hours a week of practice. Season includes 6 regular season games and 2+ games in the tournament. All home games and practices will be held at David A. Lorenz Regional Park. Games will be played on Saturdays with some games will be played on Sundays.

The South Suburban Park and Recreation District refund policy states:

Refunds must be requested 3 business days after to scheduled start of activity (March 9, 2017).  There is a $10 service charge per participant on requested refunds, or save the service charge by requesting a South Suburban Gift Card.  Please allow 3 to 4 weeks for processing.  Returned checks subject to additional fees.
